Dr. Bashar Hinnawi
Dr. Bashar Hinnawi is a dedicated and skilled dentist who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Since then, he has committed himself to lifelong learning, continually advancing his knowledge and skills through continuing education. With a focus on staying at the forefront of dental technology and treatment options, Dr. Hinnawi ensures that every patient benefits from the latest advancements and techniques. His approach to dentistry emphasizes not only effective, immediate care but also long-lasting solutions tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Dr. Hinnawi is known for his pleasant, thorough, and caring approach, always taking the time to understand his patients’ concerns and goals. He treats each patient as if they were family, believing that every person deserves a healthy, beautiful smile they can feel confident in. His treatment philosophy centers on building trust and fostering a comfortable environment, allowing patients to feel at ease during every visit. Outside of his practice, Dr. Hinnawi enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Marina, and their two children, Ella and Chris. As a dentist, husband, and father, Dr. Hinnawi brings a genuine warmth and commitment to everything he does, helping his patients achieve not only healthier smiles but also a more confident outlook on life.
Meet Your Orthodontist
Dr. Marina Shamoun
Dr. Marina Shamoun attended and graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While excelling in the clinical aspects of dentistry, she made sure to stay connected with her community in Philadelphia. She was involved in the Community Honors Program, which provided dental care via mobile units to children who otherwise had no access to dental healthcare. She also held multiple leadership roles in various student clubs and societies, including the American Student Dental Association. Striving for clinical excellence, she believed in the importance of incorporating advanced technology into dentistry and helped co-found the Digital Dentistry Club at Penn Dental Medicine. During her time there, she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society.
Driven by her passion for art and science, along with a desire to build meaningful relationships and positively impact her community, Dr. Marina chose a career in orthodontics. She feels blessed to have had the opportunity to live on the West Coast while receiving her orthodontic training at the University of California, San Francisco, where she also obtained her Master’s in Orofacial Sciences.
Dr. Shamoun is a board certified orthodontist, and a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics. She upholds high standards of personalized care, beginning each patient’s journey with a comprehensive evaluation of their dental and medical history, lifestyle, and individual concerns. Her commitment to improving lives is at the core of her practice, as she understands that a beautiful smile can enhance confidence and overall health. Outside of her professional life, Marina finds joy in traveling, learning about different cultures, experimenting with new recipes, and spending quality time with family. Marina and her husband, Bashar, have two beautiful children, Ella and Chris. As an orthodontist, wife ,and mother, Marina brings a genuine warmth and an elevated personal touch to everything she does, helping patients become the best version of themselves while gaining a positive perspective on life through healthier smiles and renewed confidence.
