Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment can help save a tooth when the nerve inside becomes inflamed or infected due to deep decay, a crack, trauma, or other damage. Treatment removes the infected tissue, relieves discomfort, and allows us to preserve your natural tooth whenever possible.

Symptoms such as persistent tooth pain, sensitivity to hot or cold, pain when biting, swelling, or tenderness may indicate a problem inside the tooth. We carefully evaluate the tooth and take any necessary X-rays to determine the cause of the problem and whether root canal treatment is the right option.

During treatment, the infected or inflamed tissue inside the tooth is removed, and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned, disinfected, and sealed. In many cases, a crown is recommended afterward to protect the tooth and restore normal function.
